IOA Corporate 5k – 2013
Running for Boston
The Veritas family was running again this Friday, April 19th as they participated in the IOA Corporate 5K at downtown Orlando. Our team represented a small percentage of the 16,000+ runners and walkers who packed the Orlando streets to celebrate healthy living with co-workers, friends and family.
Team Veritas could be seen running through the streets of Heathrow Thursday night, March 21st while participating in the Annual Rescue Run Corporate 5k. VRG is proud to participate in the Rescue Run where our family gives back to the community, while burning a few calories. The race benefits the Central Florida homeless shelter as the Rescue Outreach Mission hosts its 4th annual race.
The festivities took place just off of International Parkway at Oval Park where Veritas employees, friends and family members sported there pink “got talent?” shirts and running sneaks. The 3.1 mile walk/run started the philanthropic event and lead right into a wellness fair with a DJ, food, and fun activities for all. As 2 year participants, we saw the turnout overwhelmingly grow with more companies and runners joining the biggest corporate walk/run 5k in Seminole County.
As a new company in the Central Florida region, the team at Veritas wanted to start getting involved in the community. As a group we thought, “What’s a great way to get involved, have some fun and get healthy?” Little did we know we wouldn’t have to look far. One of our neighbors in our own office building hosts and coordinates Seminole County’s only Corporate 5k charity event. So this past Thursday, March 29th, we decided to get involved and participated in the Rescue Run Corporate 5k held in our own backyard in Lake Mary.
