Running for Boston
The Veritas family was running again this Friday, April 19th as they participated in the IOA Corporate 5K at downtown Orlando. Our team represented a small percentage of the 16,000+ runners and walkers who packed the Orlando streets to celebrate healthy living with co-workers, friends and family.
The pride and confidence theme of the race was seen amongst the number of companies as they were promoting and encouraging children’s health with donations for youth fitness programs in Central Florida.
With Boston in our hearts, we along with the rest of the participants paid tribute to those affected by the Boston Marathon attack which occurred only four days prior. The Central Florida’s premiere night-time corporate run was one of the first races since the tragic event in Boston. We felt a true sense of unity amidst all the companies involved with the race and was honored to be a part of the charity event.
It was a great event, and though we won’t be qualifying for the 2016 Olympics, we do love getting out there for a great cause! Thanks to all who donated and participated in the 19th annual IOA 5k, we look forward to returning for years to come!
