May 20, 2015 – David Sprinkle, Managing Partner with Veritas Recruiting Group, was featured on Fox 35 News Good Day Orlando to discuss how to predict if your potential boss will be great or terrible.
Here are some points that were covered:
- Be selective when choosing who to work for, even if you are unemployed. Failure to evaluate if the opportunity is the right fit for you can result in short tenure and “job hopping”, which looks terrible on your resume and can have a negative impact on future job prospects.
- When preparing for an interview, have the mindset that you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. This will put you more at ease and give you confidence.
- Before your interview, make sure you do your research. View their LinkedIn, Facebook, and see how they portray themselves. If you can’t find anything, try to search on Linkedin for people who may have worked with the boss before and ask for their thoughts and opinions.
- Always have questions prepared. Ask about culture, expectations, etc. Their answers will give you subtle clues as to what type of person they are….trust your gut…if something seems off, it probably is.
