It was an amazing scene in downtown Orlando as more than 18,000 runners and walkers lined Lake Eola to participate in the IOA Corporate 5K. The event was a true celebration of a 20-year effort to create healthy workplaces within Central Florida’s business and organizations. An all-time IOA Corporate 5k record was set as 720 teams and 260 CEO’s partook in the 3.1 mile course.
Veritas was proud to represent our company and run with tons of different corporations in different industries and trades located on Central Florida. The spectators were in full display as they covered every part of the course cheering on the participants while supplying them with water and orange slices. As per usual the race ended with a congratulatory ice cold beer to quench the thirst of ever runner.
The race put on a spectacle of fireworks over Lake Eola to wrap up the celebration and another successful year of corporate mixing. The record setting night was an wonderful event to be a part of and pays tribute to the developing economy here in Orlando.
