November 4, 2015 – David Sprinkle, Managing Partner with Veritas Recruiting Group, was on Fox 35 Good Day Orlando again, this time to discuss how taking a lower-level position can impact your career.
Don’t mind the coughing fit at the beginning!!!
Couple of key takeaways:
- If you’re recently unemployed, don’t jump at the first job unless it’s the right fit for your career and career path.
- If you do take a ‘pay-my-bills’ position that is a step back in your career, keep the career search going to find a more appropriate position.
- You can omit anything you want from your resume. You should completely customize your resume for the position that you are applying, leaving off anything and everything that is not relevant.
- You can not lie on your resume by putting things that are inaccurate.
