Heathrow, FL, October 31, 2011 – Veritas Recruiting Group announced today that Nancy Rivers, CPA has joined the recruiting firm as Recruiting Manager.

Nancy joins Veritas with a wealth of Accounting experience.  She has her CPA and earned her MBA in Accounting from UCF.  Nancy has Big4 public accounting experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers and her corporate accounting background includes serving as the International Controller at FARO Technologies, a publicly traded employer here in Central Florida.

The region’s unemployment continued to rise in May as the housing slowdown pummeled the economy.

Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate rose to 5.4 percent in May, up from 4.8 percent in April and 3.7 percent a year ago, the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation said Friday.

Florida’s jobless rate hit a four-year high in March as the state’s economy continued to suffer the effects of the housing crash, the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation said Friday.
Florida’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate rose to 4.9 percent in March from 4.6 percent in February.
