Reports suggest in ten years, robots will replace 65% of jobs. Currently, we see processes in the automotive industry being taken over by robots. This change negatively affects current employees because it puts them out of a job. How can you make sure your job isn’t at risk of being replaced by robots?

- If your New Year’s resolution is to find a new job, set specific quantifiable action steps… i.e. “I will dedicate 2 hours every day to job search activities.”
- Using social networking sites like Facebook and Linkedin are great tools for networking, but it’s even more important to combine the ‘high-touch’ with the ‘high-tech’….call people, set up coffee meetings and lunch meetings, start building relationships offline.

The Orlando Business Journal reports that there is a shortage of accountants in the Central Florida area. Reasons for the shortage include Verizon hiring 1,100 accountants for their new financial hub in Lake Mary, as well as Deloitte aggressively hiring here as well.

Forbes has listed Orlando as the #1 Job Growth City in the US in their rankings of the top 10 cities with the highest job growth in the first 3 quarters of 2014. The cities that have made the list show the strongest non-agricultural job growth, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
