Sports have played a prevalent role this week at Veritas Recruiting Group. From a Spring Training game between the Braves and Marlins to the 2014 Rescue Run Corporate 5K all with the peak of March Madness busting brackets in the background.

This was the third consecutive Rescue Run Corporate 5K the VRG team has participated in. As a company whose ultimate goal seeks to help people, we couldn’t say no to an event that gives back to our community. The race benefits the Rescue Outreach Mission, Seminole County’s only homeless shelter by providing them with the profits the philanthropy raises.

The University of South Florida is searching for a new men’s basketball coach after it revoked it’s offer to Coach Steve Masiello after it was discovered he did not really have a college degree. But lying on your resume is more common than you might think. And it could cost you big time.

The stakes were low at the Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins Spring Training game but that did not stop the Veritas Recruiting Group from having some fun in the sun. It was a beautiful day at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for America’s old pastime of baseball, and hooky…

Our team geared our focus from recruiting to catching foul balls for the day, thankfully we are a little better at our day jobs as we came up empty handed throughout the nine innings. Whenever the office heads out for a day out we always have a great time goofing off and hanging out with each other. It was an overall awesome day of employee bonding while kicking back and relaxing watching the Braves beat up on the Marlins 9-2!
