As a new company in the Central Florida region, the team at Veritas wanted to start getting involved in the community. As a group we thought, “What’s a great way to get involved, have some fun and get healthy?” Little did we know we wouldn’t have to look far. One of our neighbors in our own office building hosts and coordinates Seminole County’s only Corporate 5k charity event. So this past Thursday, March 29th, we decided to get involved and participated in the Rescue Run Corporate 5k held in our own backyard in Lake Mary.

The region’s unemployment continued to rise in May as the housing slowdown pummeled the economy.
Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate rose to 5.4 percent in May, up from 4.8 percent in April and 3.7 percent a year ago, the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation said Friday.
